WESTPAC '73 Patch
This unofficial patch was inspired by a period during the 1973 WESTPAC when many "field days", picky zone inspections and general chicken sh***t resulted in the crew referring to itself as the "Janitors in a Drum". The patch was designed by an artistic Auxiliaryman (is that possible?), and were made up in Hong Kong. The dustpan with crossed brush and squirt bottle represented the special tools of this highly trained crew, and the "turkeys" are symbolic of the wardroom.
The slogan on the smaller emblem "UNBEARABLE" is slightly altered from the original "UNBEATABLE".
A sailor isn't happy unless he's bitching!
